(The Internet was down when this happened, so I couldn't post it then. I don't want to forget it, so here it is:)
Micah had been having a bad attitude pretty often lately and I had let it slide, thinking it would pass. It didn't. One day at the table the grumps popped up again, and I'd had enough. I picked up my switch I smiled and said, "Do you see this? This is my magic wand, and if your grumpiness and meanness doesn't change, I'll be using it to make your bad attitude magically change into a good one. I'm the magic fairy who's going to get rid of your grumpies."
With a glint in his eye, he grinned and quietly said, "And I'm the hunter that shoots the fairy."
And yes, thank you very much, I DID keep a straight face, but have laughed about it everytime I've retold it to others. That boy cracks me up. :)
