LASIK
Matt's eyes are recovering, but aren't full-strength yet. Doc said that is normal. I'm a sad for him that it's not immediate improvement like we'd hoped, but glad he's not permanently blind. :)
KIDS
The other day the girls were playing in a somewhat secluded wooded area out by the work shed. They feel independent and big when they do this. I can see them (even hear them) from the porch, but they are alone. As I watched them playing, Camie digging in the pine straw with a shovel and Lissy in the dirt, I realized I'm in a
Speaking of kids playing in my old haunts, I took all three of them down to the Branch (small creek at the edge of the yard) Saturday. Yes, the water was freezing. No, they didn't care. It was fun watching them play and be brave in the ankle-deep water, jumping off roots for diving boards, looking for crawdads. My childhood summers were practically lived at the stream. I wanted to take pictures, but my memory card/stick/thing is full on the camera, so I did some videos instead. Note to self: Umm, a new baby is due soon, like in three weeks. You might want to make some space for new pictures. :)
ME
I'm eager for baby to arrive, but am praying it's not this week as my midwife is off-duty and on vacation in VA. I don't want to have to settle for a doctor I've never met, so baby needs to stay put until at least the 10th when Mrs. Messer will be back.
Quotes:
Felicity and I were dancing the other night. She said, "That's what my nurses in nursery do!"
Felicity was dressed in a Roman soldier helmet and carrying a toy sword when we were at Hannah's the other day. Apparently she was slobbering or spitting to add to her fierceness. I heard Camie tell her friend Coleman, "That's the slobberingest Roman soldier I've ever seen."
As for Micah, he mainly repeats what everybody else says. :)
Matt called and said we're invited to a bon-fire tonight at the Pastor's house. Yea! Now I don't have to figure out a supper menu or cook it. :)

I miss the Branch. I still dream about it sometimes. I'm very glad another generation is playing down there!
A&S now completely sequester themselves to play. When I come in, a silence falls and they look at me expectantly. One time I lingered too long, and Stuart said, "Can you go out now?" Grownups ruin playtime simply by existing.
