Birthright
Camie has been bugging me about giving her a jewelry box that was given to me by my parents when I was about 9. It is wooden, has a pretty inside, and best of all has a wind up music box in it that plays "Happy Birthday". I told her I'm not ready to give it away yet because it'll get torn up. After continuing to ask about it for a while she dropped the subject (probably at my insistence). We were both busy for a little bit, then she broke the silence with, "When a grownup dies, do the kids get their stuff?" Having briefly forgotten the subject we'd just been discussing I was a little surprised at her question. Then I remembered the jewelry box and asked if that's why she wanted to know. She grinned and said yes. I just laughed with her and told her she's still not getting the jewelry box yet. :)

About Me
- Mississippi Rose
- I'm a Southern gal raised in MS, married to my sweet Matt from MO, the busy mamma to 4 (soon to be 5)young children. I'm realizing more all the time how I am helpless to do anything for Christ on my own. Yet when I yield myself to Him and ask for His wisdom and His power to be the wife, mom, and woman of God He wants me to be I am amazed at how He gives it. And I'm finally beginning to really understand worship as more than a church service.

My friend Madge once was drying and putting away dishes. With a dreamy look on her face she held up a little pickle fork and said, "I'm going to get this when my mama dies." (Madge was about 20 then, it is 50 plus years later, and her mama is still alive and feisty.)
