Pictures

Lissy and the red Japanese maple leaves.

Kids and I stayed home from church this morning because Lissy wasn't feeling well and I didn't think I should spread it to the rest of the nursery and K5 class. Thoughtful, ain't I? :)
We had fun doing this stack-up picture.Notice Micah's bow and arrow. He loves that thing and can shoot it like a pro.

Buddy the dog joins us.

Here is how he puts the arrow on the string. I love watching those little fingers manipulate the string and arrow. I don't know that we taught him to do it like this, but he's fast and smooth with it. He doesn't even have to watch his hands while he does it!

Wobin Hoo-Wud (as Micah pronounces it)

Camie holding Cinderella. That little kitten loves her "mommy", amazingly. Here Camie was sitting on the porch swing, rocking her to sleep.

Our first night in WI. They had just gotten back from the waterpark and were watching a movie. Poor Micah wanted to be a party animal, but just couldn't quite make it.

Melissa's and Mike beautiful 2.5 year old Maggie Ruth

My man. :) This was at the resort in WI. Katie and Kristy took pictures (I hope) of the inside, so maybe I can get some from them. I failed to do so.

Tried to turn this, but blogger didn't like it that way I guess. We had stopped a a log cabin village that must've been closed for winter, but we still had fun going around peeking in windows. Here Lissy is pretending to turn the handle on a well.

I finally got to meet my penpal Andrea Schroer.
She and I have written letters off and on for about 10 years and had never even talked on the phone. When I found out she was only an hour away from where we were staying I made plans to go visit. She just had a baby girl three week prior, and has a 22 month old boy. After lunch we drove to hers and her sister's studio where they sell spinning wheels, looms, knitting supplies, and all sorts of yarns and fiber. She demonstrated the spinning wheel for me and I bought some gorgeous yarn for Katie, who is all into crocheting. From there we headed to a cheese factory and stocked up on cheese. They had already finished making the cheese so I didn't get to see it in action, but it was fun seeing all the many kinds of cheeses sold there and buying a big variety to sample. She treated us to some delicious icecream they sold at a little shop in the store. For never having even spoken to each other, we sure found a lot to talk about. I think I was there6 and half hours! :) It was a wonderful day. Thanks, Andrea.

This reminds me of some contemporary Christian CD covers. I could label it something like "Inner Child" or "Rusty Wrenches." Those always have such bizarre names on them. (Bleach and Skillet come to mind.) This is Emma on the left, Melissa's and Mike's oldest. She's 3 and a half. I had a cute on of their baby Abbie on here but it got deleted.
There! I got a bunch of pics posted! At the cost of delaying lunch. :) But we drank chocolate milk for a snack anyway, so probably nobody noticec the wait. :)

About Me

My photo
I'm a Southern gal raised in MS, married to my sweet Matt from MO, the busy mamma to 4 (soon to be 5)young children. I'm realizing more all the time how I am helpless to do anything for Christ on my own. Yet when I yield myself to Him and ask for His wisdom and His power to be the wife, mom, and woman of God He wants me to be I am amazed at how He gives it. And I'm finally beginning to really understand worship as more than a church service.
