I guess it's because I'm starting to get more sleep now and days with Cassie are getting more routine that I've started trying to make the kids' rooms look like more than four walls with a bed in there somewhere. When I go next door and see what my sister Lauren has done in the nursery for her baby girl (she's constantly changing things and adding stuff), I get inspired. Mom and I discussed it some the other day and she offered to come help me or even watch kids for me so I could get more done. Saturday Matt had Micah with him in town for several hours, so I started in the girls' rooms. So far no real difference can be seen, but I did move a dresser up there to replace Camie's old one, and organized and eliminated. I have some girly floral material I hope to make little valances with to go with some lace sheer curtains I've had a long time. My goal is to use as much stuff as I already have on hand, or to try to get it very cheap if it has to be bought. I'd like to get coordinating comforters for their beds. So when I make more progress, I'll post pics. I need to take a pic. of the mural Lauren painted for the nursery wall at her house. It's so cute.
More kid quotes:
According to Lissy, we eat in the 'diamond' room (dining room), and Camie was eating Rice Creepies cereal.
I told Micah to "take that pouty look off your face" the other day. He looked puzzled but obeyed: by reaching up and pretending to remove the pout with his hand. :)
It's very hot and humid here lately. I sat out on the porch while the older ones played on the trampoline in the spraying water. Watching them almost made me want to join them, but the hassle didn't seem worth it.
Apparently we had an average week since I am having trouble thinking of things to write. All the kids are down for naps (Argh! I just heard Cassie cough.) so I need to try to rest too. Somebody's got to be energized enough to tend re-charged kids this evening, and Matt doesn't have the opportunity to rest up, so it falls to me. :) It's an investment into our family's evening for me to get a nap. ("If mamma ain't happy. . .). Cheerio.

About Me
- Mississippi Rose
- I'm a Southern gal raised in MS, married to my sweet Matt from MO, the busy mamma to 4 (soon to be 5)young children. I'm realizing more all the time how I am helpless to do anything for Christ on my own. Yet when I yield myself to Him and ask for His wisdom and His power to be the wife, mom, and woman of God He wants me to be I am amazed at how He gives it. And I'm finally beginning to really understand worship as more than a church service.

After our huge burst of decorating, when we painted the kids' rooms, we haven't done a thing with them. We've hardly done anything with our room. Well, except that I've made an effort to ban toys and food in our room, which actually helps a lot.
I dream a lot, but don't do much. Looking forward to pictures.
