Birthdays

Camie turns 5 tomorrow. Wow. That seems strange, except that for months now I been hearing about it and so am a little bit used to the idea. She is giddy with excitement. Katie, her nearly-15 year old cousin offered to come spend the day with us for Camie's b-day tomorrow, so we're all looking forward to that. The kids love her. She plays with them, but makes them feel grown up at the same time.
For the party, we usually have family over for supper and then do a game and gifts. I'm not really up to hosting and feeding a dozen or so people a meal, so we're having a dessert party at about 6:30. Jessica, my sister in law, offered to make a dessert for me, and I'm going to do 2 others. Well, okay, one of them is a pack of heart-shaped Little Debbbies that Camie loves, but the other is one I'll have to make.
And then we get to do this again in two weeks for Micah's 2nd b.day. Except for baby's birth in April, that'll be it for the year until December rolls around again.
Not much of an up-date, but I hear the girls awake and I need to free them from nap-prison. :)

Happy birthday, Camie! I still remember when I turned 5. I received a pink umbrella with white hearts on it and a couple of my friends came over to celebrate. It was a very serious occasion. (: Hope you have a great time with you family tonight!

About Me

My photo
I'm a Southern gal raised in MS, married to my sweet Matt from MO, the busy mamma to 4 (soon to be 5)young children. I'm realizing more all the time how I am helpless to do anything for Christ on my own. Yet when I yield myself to Him and ask for His wisdom and His power to be the wife, mom, and woman of God He wants me to be I am amazed at how He gives it. And I'm finally beginning to really understand worship as more than a church service.
