Making Good Grades

The kids and I were at my friend Hannah's yesterday for a few hours of play/visiting. I heard her oldest, who is just a few months older than Camie and is also homeschooled, asking Camie what kind of grades she got. Camie, having no idea what he meant, said she was in first grade. "No, I mean do you get A's or B's? If you get a C that's bad." I was feeling a little bad that Hannah actually grades her kid's papers, while we just struggle to accomplish the work. {I found out later she just puts an A if he does a good job. If it's wrong, she makes him re-do it, so in effect, he gets all A's in the end, I guess.;)} My feelings of being a bad teacher quickly vanished when I heard him continue, "And if you get an "X=", that's really bad!"
So the ultimate failure grade must be a "Z". Boy, we homeschoolers sure do it differently, don't we? :)

About Me

My photo
I'm a Southern gal raised in MS, married to my sweet Matt from MO, the busy mamma to 4 (soon to be 5)young children. I'm realizing more all the time how I am helpless to do anything for Christ on my own. Yet when I yield myself to Him and ask for His wisdom and His power to be the wife, mom, and woman of God He wants me to be I am amazed at how He gives it. And I'm finally beginning to really understand worship as more than a church service.
